| I love being home. Getting to see my parents and sibs. They are really my whole life. I don't know where I would be without them.
I got home after a grueling long morning on Tuesday. For some reason, the Philadelphia airport stinks! Not only are the terminals all over the place, the security stations are retarded. No matter what time of day, they will always be backed up and people will be stupid. I don't what make the Cleveland airport so much better... is the the convenient set-up? Or maybe it's the people? Or it could be the ease of getting to the airport sans an hour drive? Who knows... but it's so nice to be home and not have to be irritated about going to the airport again.
I got to see my lovey, Jen, before she left for Vegas. Wow, I've been so out of the loop since before finals. I literally stopped talking to everyone, it was so crazy. But hopefully, I can catch up with all my loveys. I won't get to see her before her birthday on Sunday, so I will have to mail her present. I have no idea what to get... since she and her mom live such a luxurious lifestyle I'm not sure I could afford. I suppose I'll have to get the thoughtful gift this year... haha.
Rocko & Mark are in Philly... they didn't make it back with me this time. I miss them. But I think it was probably a good move to get some time apart from both of them. I really love them both. It's hard for me to say, but I'm still not sure where things are going. I thought I knew, but of course, I was wrong. It is really hard to describe even the situation because I'm not really good with words. And I have always had a hard time describing my feelings. I hope this week off will do us some good.
I recently when to the Q Concert with Mark, Ashley, Lisa, Phoebe, Diana, and Ash's sis Jennie and friend Janice. It was really fun, despite the cold sprinkling rain the whole night!! We got to see... Leona Lewis, One Republic, Maroon 5, Ray J, & Sarah Bareilles! We saw a Jonas brother... not sure which one it was. We actually didn't realize what was going on until we heard the group of screaming 10 yr old girls! I haven't been to a concert in so long... I'm not sure if it was just us... but the average age of ppl at the concert was about 15... until 8pm... then most of them left. And my favorites started to come on. I actually don't know who played before that time... haha. I do sound old.
I am SO excited for Trinh to come in June and then for good, in August! I have all my fingers and toes crossed for Tien. I wished they'd just let him in already. He deserves it. They both do. It's funny because I felt like I was in the same situation last year. For me, it was the waiting game and having the sense of mediocracy. I really hope it'll pay off to wait!!
Ok... time to start my day! | | |
| Mod 4 Neuro test in less than 24 hrs... 36% of my grade. I don't really feel like studying, but I know I should.
I always say this... but I'm going to try to keep up with writing on Xanga. This time it will be for real!!

| As of Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 2:45pm at the Charles Penzone Grand Salon in Polaris, I found out that I have been accepted to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry Class of 2011! I felt shock, excitement, and speechlessness all at once while talking to Barbara on the phone. She was so subtle by asking me the size for my white coat... It was the greatest feeling of happiness I have felt in a great long while. I was overwhelmed with joy and could not the peel the goofy smile from my face.
I guess all the work over the summer really paid off... I can't even describe my happiness and relief. I only hope that when I finish at PCO, I will be able to make a difference in my parents' lives, first of all, and then those in the world around me.
I am currently looking for an apartment, most likely at the Colonade. They are pricey, but that's all right... I'll pay that off someday! There are so many great things to come... And I can't wait. I leave Ohio on Friday August 17th for Philadelphia. Orientation, the white coat ceremony, and week long activities and social start on Monday Aug. 20th. Classes officially begin on Aug. 27th!! Wow... I am just SO EXCITED!!
I should probably start packing and taking care of my poor sis who just got all her wisdom teeth removed along with 2 crazy molars!!
Until next time, The future Sandy L. Dang, O.D. (wow, I'm a big nerd... but that's okay!!)

| Life in Philadelphia is not what I expected. I do like it here... aside from the ghetto-ness, winding roads, and hills all around. I am really working hard in PCO's SEP program. Hopefully it'll pay off at the end of the summer and I'll get admitted for the fall. There are a lot of nice people here, but drama sure accumulates fast with 18 girls, 4 boys, and 2 TAs (one of each gender). I like my roommates a lot - Kena is from Mississippi, Angela from Maryland.
Last weekend, July 6-9, Kyle drove my car here for my only weekend off. So sweet. We made a road trip to Virginia to visit Grace (one of the girls in the program) and her family. It was a really good time. Her family was so sweet. I'm glad we went - unfortunately the 3 hour drive each way turned into 4.5 hours there and 5 hours back due to I-95 construction, traffic, and getting lost in Delaware. Trinh couldn't drag her butt to VA because she was busy getting engagement advice in Chicago... haha. Memories..
I'm a little anxious for the upcoming birthday. I will be spending my day at school from 8am-3pm and studying in the library from 7pm to midnight... Ohh what a day, huh? Maybe I'll get some sympathetic calls from friends and family having a good time at home!! At least, with the freedom to do as they please on their birthday!!
I should probably get back to studying... I felt inspired to write here after reading some other blogs of my classmates, particularly Bang's.
I hope to see everyone soon!!
Most of the group on the first Saturday...
